A cancer diagnosis that changed everything

In late November 2024, Ricky and his family’s life was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with stage four metastatic cancer.

“After being rushed to Perth for treatment, we managed to return to our country town just in time for Christmas, and I was able to witness one of the most memorable moments of our lives - Sienna’s end-of-year dance concert. Watching her perform her heart out was a moment I’ll cherish forever. She was invited to perform in the prestigious Dreamworld Parade on the Gold Coast. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for her, and as her dad, I want to be there to cheer her on and experience this special moment with her.” Explained Ricky.

Ricky was desperate to see his daughter perform and so our Dream Makers got to work so the whole family could take a memory making adventure.

After their Dreamy Dreamworld trip Ricky said “It was exhilarating to feel the adrenaline rush (of the rollercoasters) and have so many laughs and screams with my kids, we all had so much fun and have made some memories that will stay with us forever.”
