Jeremy's dream was to keep a promise to his daughter and pat the dolphins at Sea World
Queenslander, Jeremy is a 42-year-old, husband and father, who was diagnosed with lymphoma just before Mother’s Day 2024.
His wife Jessica told us “When Jeremy was told about his lymphoma diagnosis and treatment, and the ‘what ifs’ if it didn’t work… our world stopped for a moment. From the moment we heard that word… ‘cancer,’ everything changed. The fear, the uncertainty, the endless hospital visits, and the fight we never expected to face. But through it all, we’ve held onto hope, strength, and each other.
When Jeremy was told he may have only weeks to live he was placed in the care of a team of people. Through palliative care, counselling and social work Jeremy was referred to Dreams2Live4, who reached out to Jeremy to help him achieve his dream.
Daughter Madison, along with Jeremy and Jessica are huge fans of Sea World. With Jessica saying “Our daughter loves to sit up close near the dolphin show - her dream was to pat a dolphin. Jeremy reassured her that one day, when you’re older, you’ll get to meet the dolphins. But now, with everything going on, he didn’t want to wait for “one day” — he wanted to keep that promise now, just in case time isn’t on our side.
Dreams2Live4 through the generosity of the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation and our 2025 tax appeal, helped realise Jeremy and Maddison’s dream.
“Dreams2Live4 gave us this amazing experience - making Jeremy’s dream come true and creating lifelong memories for us all to treasure. Memories are so important because when a loved one is going to pass soon, memories will be all we have left. Dreams2Live4 has given us memories that will live on always in mine and Madison’s heart. We’re beyond grateful.”
