A Mother's wish for a meaningful moment

Earlier this year, we received an urgent request via Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre for a Dreamer named Devina, living with advanced lymphoma. Devina's wish was to be present at her daughter's wedding, which had been brought forward to the upcoming weekend. With plans in place, Devina hoped to have her hair and makeup done and to have the moment professionally captured.

A community that stepped in immediately

Given the short timeframe, we reached out to our community, and the response was immediate and generous. Amelia from Makeup Artists of Melbourne kindly volunteered her expertise for hair and makeup, while photographer Sigrid Peterson offered to capture the day. Both gave their time and talent at little to no cost. We could not be more grateful for their generosity.

A day filled with love and presence

It was a beautiful and meaningful moment for Devina and her family,  one they will cherish forever.
