The house by the Lake - Dreams2Live4

The house by the Lake

The family were grieving. Forced to live apart. Phil had been in the hospice for four weeks. With his wife Cyndi sleeping in the chair next to his hospital bed, their teenage daughters were left to run the house - the eldest studying for her HSC. The family were desperate to be together again. Phil's dream was to escape from the ward and share some normal, family fun.

Dream maker Louise worked with Phil's medical team to plan his two nights away from palliative care and arranged for the family to stay in a beautiful house by the lake.

Phil, a passionate sailor, found the peace he so desperately needed, surrounded by his family looking out over the water. They shared meals together, laughter and a whole lot of love.

Phil also wanted to share Samantha's 16th Birthday which was brought forward as an early birthday surprise for her Dad. Thank you Dreams2Live4 for creating this special occasion for the family.
