Slow dance - Dreams2Live4

Slow dance

Ballina based mum of two “miracle babies”, Georgia is just 32 and living with advanced cancer. She told us she met her husband Matthew at just 16, falling in love and ‘dreaming’ together for the past 15 years. Describing her life as a rollercoaster with “the unexpected deaths of both our Mums, an infertility journey and now Stage 4 bowel cancer, my dream is simply to slow down the days and spend quality one-on-one time with the man I adore and who has been my biggest cheerleader through life’s hurdles”.

Georgia added, she wanted to “slow dance and giggle like we did when we were 16 years young”.

The couple got to “relax, recover and take a breath” away from the day to day of cancer, surrounded instead by the beauty of Hamilton Island. We helped make her dream come true with the generous support of a grant from the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation.
