Jason wished to see as many football games as he could before things go wrong
Jason comes from the rural town of Moree around 7 hours’ drive from Sydney and its Northern Beaches, the home to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles NRL team. Now living with advanced cancer, Jason’s dream “is to see as many football games as I can before things go wrong”. A keen Manly fan – Jason particularly wanted to see Manly play the Broncos at 4 Pines stadium in Brookvale.
Jason picked a great match to drive the distance to see – with the Sea Eagles picking up the win 32 to 4.
Before the match, the wonderful people at Manly also treated Jason and his partner Gabrielle to an insider's view at the Captain’s Run where they had the opportunity to meet the players, including halfback Jamal Fogarty, who gifted Jason some signed boots; and then the icing on the cake was being part of the Sea Eagles Guard of Honour before the match.
That's a dream delivered! Thank you Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and Lumus Imaging for making Jason's dream a reality.
