A man of many talents and a classically trained musician, Simon’s* dream was to own a viola.
“Constant medical treatments are dehumanising,” said Simon. “The seemingly endless conveyor belt of treatments strips away a lot of the normalcy that is so ingrained in every-day life and, in turn, negatively impacts confidence and one’s sense of self.”
We’re delighted to say that Simon's dream has come true and he is loving his new viola.
“The viola is a reminder of how far I’ve come, from being bed-ridden and seriously ill, to actually being in a position to play an instrument.”
“It has given me a new goal, a routine (daily practice), something to look forward to each day and a way of expressing myself. Thank you for supporting my dream.”
