55-year-old Greg is living with advanced cancer and currently hospitalised in Queensland. Greg was referred to us, as he had a dream to see his best friend, Mark. Born in NSW, Greg moved to Melbourne with his brothers and sisters when he was just 2 years old, there Greg struck up a friendship with Mark that has lasted for over 40 years, despite Greg’s move to Queensland in early 2001. Since then, the two haven’t seen each other, but are in almost daily contact.

Our Dream Team loved being able to bring the two life-long friends back together again with flights and accommodation for Mark from Melbourne to Brisbane. These two caught up over several days at the hospital and even managed a leave pass for a counter lunch at the pub. Mark’s visit has given Greg the strength to keep fighting.
