Annette and her partner Tom were planning their future together. In their love they found the courage to take chances and chase the adventure tomorrow held. This was before Annette was diagnosed with metastasized breast cancer. 3 months by her side through treatment and Tom, too, received his fatal diagnosis- metastatic asbestos cancer.

After an operation at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Tom proposed to Annette and despite everything, they found happiness in the ICU. Together, they planned their wedding as quickly as they could. The team behind Dreams2Live4 rallied to prepare their honeymoon in Broome but, time would soon catch up. Tom's fight proved too much and he passed away within the month.

In the next 2 years, Annette fought for life without knowing how to live without him. With more courage than any would have thought possible- Annette decided to take the honeymoon they had planned with the help of her friend, Carmel.

"We had the most brilliant holiday saw & experienced amazing sights. The colours where exhilarating. We visited the Buccaneer Archipelago in a plane, went to a Pearl Farm, flew around the Horizontal Falls, and motored in an inflatable speed boat through the King Tides! This experience brought me so much happiness & joy. It made me feel alive- like I can take on anything. I know Tom was with me throughout the trip!"
