When Arthur was diagnosed with lung cancer he made the heartbreaking decision to not go ahead with radiation treatment.

"I would rather spend my time left with my family and especially my grandchildren who I completely adore."

"My wish is to go to Doyle's on the Beach with a table where I am able to enjoy and take in the amazing view of the ocean and enjoy a delicious seafood lunch," Arthur said.

With his daughter and her family joining them from Wollongong, the day was filled with joy, laughter and fine food.

The memories made with his cherished grandchildren of this happy day will be remembered for years to come.

"After all this heartache, to see their faces light up with excitement was an absolute dream for me."
