From cancer fighter to jet fighter - Dreams2Live4

Chasing the jet fighter pilot dream whilst living with advanced cancer

Sunshine coast-based Craig, is 56, and living with advanced esophageal cancer.

When he was told about Dreams2Live4’s mission to realise the dreams of adults living with terminal cancer – Craig knew exactly what he was dreaming about: which was to experience a jet fighter plane. “It is something I have wanted to do since a small child. My Dad was a fire fighter at Canberra airport, so I used to go to work with him sometimes. He would take me for a ride in the fire tender, down the runway with the sirens on, and I would watch the planes coming and going. He also took me to watch the F1-11 jet plane shows and I would always think it would be so cool and exciting to go in a jet. I always thought it was a dream that would never come true!

Precious memories

‘It has been a dream for so long and brought back precious memories of me and my father.”
