Anthony Flannery is the Executive Director, Public Affairs, NSW Police

Prior to this, Anthony held the role of Director of External Affairs & Communications for Minderoo Foundation and Tattarang.

Anthony also sits on several Foundation and Tattarang boards.

In December 2022, Anthony was appointed to the role of Chairman of Western Force Rugby Team, exclusively owned by Andrew & Nicola Forrest. His rugby involvement expands to Rugby Australia and Rugby Sevens.

Anthony has more than 30 years’ experience as a communications professional, in a career that has seen him run some of the most influential newsrooms in Australia and New Zealand, and more recently hold senior executive positions in the corporate sector.

Prior to joining Minderoo and Tattarang, Anthony served as General Manager External Affairs for Vodafone Australia. Amongst his media roles, he was Head of News, Current Affairs and Operations at Channel 10, Head of News, Current Affairs, Sport and Māori and Pacific Programs at TVNZ, Executive Producer of Nine’s Today Show, Managing Editor Nine’s A Current Affair and Executive Producer National Nine News.
