When Sam Collins decided to tackle his first Ultra Marathon, he chose to raise funds for Dreams2Live4 in honour of his friend and nursing colleague, Michelle Murray who has sadly had a relapse of breast cancer.

“I wouldn’t do this for just anyone- she’s a pretty special lady and honestly one of the most caring nurses I’ve ever worked with,” Sam writes.

Initially Sam hoped to raise $5000 but he smashed it and raised $11,647!

“Michelle and I are both so humbled by people’s generosity so far. It has been so amazing for Michelle to see all of this support and to have so many people leaving kind words and messages with their donation. Anyone who has worked with Michelle knows just how caring she is and how compassionately she looks after her patients. She is a role model for us all,” Sam writes.
