Living with Advanced Breast Cancer, Donna had one final dream.

Donna was 48 years old, and her dream was to have organised her daughter Xenia’s 18th birthday party, before she died. She wanted Xenia to have a party to remember, with her favourite band, and for that to be a special gift from her mum. The party was set for the 23 August, but sadly Donna passed away in June from advanced breast cancer - but not before her dream was organised.

Dreams2Live4 worked to make sure this could happen for Donna, and combined with Donna's other pre-planning of the event, Xenia's birthday was an amazing night. Donna knew that Xenia would love to have the band ZAFFEA at the event so with her Dream Maker Julie they arranged for the band to make a surprise appearance on the night.

The party was enjoyed by everyone that attended, and Xenia was absolutely thrilled to see ZAFFEA, and experience their kind and thoughtful interactions with her on the night.

“Donna had fought so hard for over three years trying to see her daughter grow into an adult, and when she knew she wasn't quite going to make it, she at least wanted to know that her birthday would be an amazing day. 'The dream meant a huge amount to me, as it meant that Donna had some control over making sure that her daughter’s 18th birthday would be an incredible experience, and a memorable one that would be linked to her mum forever. Donna would have been ecstatic with how the event turned out, and that in turn made me so happy!”
