Regional Victorian-based Dreamer Cody, 19 has been living with brain cancer since he was 14 experiencing numerous operations and treatments; alongside the side effects and anxiety that often accompany a cancer journey. Cody was looking for a companion dog to exercise with, and to lift his spirits along that journey.

Cody had said "Hi my name is Cody,  my dream is for a companion dog to help me move forward in my life, be a friend, lift my spirits and keep me company on my walks. The friendship and bond I would have with a trained golden retriever would be uplifting and beneficial to my physical and mental wellbeing."
